Paul,
Excellent video! Straightforward and no-nonsense with good examples.
Over the years I've read posts from modelers that were hesitant or felt intimidated with airbrushing. I was intimidated myself during my teen years when a friend of mine first told me about it.
Yet, once I started airbrushing, I was amazed at how much easier and more efficient it was than using rattlecans. With some practice a modeler will be able to lay very smooth finishes on rolling stock/locos with a minimum amount of paint.
I'm not knocking rattlecans as I've used them occasionally over the years. But, imho, the flexibility and versatility offered by airbrushing for scale modeling is incomparable.
My first airbrush was a Paasche' VL. Reliable, durable, mid-level workhorse. Lasted me 20+ years and I only retired it due to damage from my dropping it on to a concrete suface.....a 3rd time!
"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"
Thanks again Paul!
As usual I learned a lot.
