Ford (FRDX) Hoppers
Posted by ALEX WARSHAL on Saturday, May 23, 2015 10:24 AM

I am wondering if anyone has any info on these elusive cars. I know they were similar to the stardard USRA twin hopper, and used at the Ford Rouge Complex from 1910s-1950s. Specifically, I am looking for roster numbers, specs, and things of that nature. Thanks in advance. I might try to post this in the Classic Trains Forum as well.

Thanks Dr. Wayne. Is there a free online version of the ORER, or would I have to buy one from Ebay or the likes? -Alex

I got mine from www.taplines.net

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, where there's a listing for ORERs available on CD.  Click on the heading "Equipment Registers on CD", as there are more than the four specific ones shown.  Prices vary somewhat, but it's a useful tool for answer rolling stock questions pertaining to various modelling eras.
