This is going from 1934 till 2009.

Will there an "add on" on dvd from 2010 till now?

Or will they do the same like Classic Trains, there was first the dvd with the first 10 years and now they released the 15 years of Classic Trains.

I am sure their experience with the Trains and MR DVDs have soured them a bit on technology that moves forward -- guys were complaining that because they keep up with the latest technology they could no longer enjoy their back issue DVDs.  An online version can be kept up to date much easier.

I would recommend anybody to invest the sum for the All Access Pass.  It really is easy to use (although I understand on some personal devices it is more awkward - I use a PC with a large monitor so I can really study the photos and drawings).

I do suspect however that at some point the quality of the Kalmbach scans might seem dated, as I am sure some newspapers have discovered who were quick to scan their photo collections -- the older Milwaukee Journal Sentinel historic photo images now seem low in quality for example.

Whether Kalmbach kept the loose pages to scan again in the future I do not know.

Ok, I agree the DVD was not an example but it was an archive of the past 75 years and the search engine was not ideal(I am not a real computer wizard but I agree this could better).

I do not understand why some people where not able to use their DVD any more, I install it on my laptop with W8.1 and it still works. It is a pitty that it would only work on a tablet with W8/8.1 and I hesitate to buy such a tablet.

About the quality, if you have an old magazine of 40 years ago and one from now their is also a diferance in quality.

But I think MR should give the choice to the readers to buy a DVD with the "updates" for the reader who want to "stick with old technology" or to have an "All Access Pass"

As I understand you can download the magazines from the cloud to a computer to read them later of line or am I wrong?
