Hey y'all! I've been trying to think of catchy and very clear slogans for my regional, Indy Rail. I want just one that will describe how dependable, quick, and satisfying Indy Rail's service is. I originally thought: "Indyana's Railroad" but that sounds too much like the real regional Indiana Railroad and it just kind of looks like something found on a Children's toy. I would appreciate any creative person's help. Thanks a bunch.

"Steel City to The Crossroads of America" ?
Selected nicknames for Gary and Indianapolis.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_city_nicknames_in_Indiana
Those are all actually very catchy. The Windy, Indy one especially caught my eye. I thought about going with the steel city one but my railroad doesn't go to Gary it actually goes to the Quad Cities.
I assumed they would connect with the Chicago part of the IAIS, making Gary a mild reach. Tried to make it work with a Quad Cities nickname, but couldn't find one. Taking an actual city name the best I could do was.
"Rock to The Crossroads of America"
It does sound railroady.
Sortof... (Or an Oldies station/channel)
"Hoosier Mama"
or
"The Crossroads Line"

Indy Rail-- Serves The Midwest Best What does everybody think of that? I like slogans that say Route Of The, but I can't think of any nicknames for grain, ballast.
Run a passenger train called "The Racer" The slogan "Route of the Racers"

"Speedway to the Heartland"
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
The Last Mountain & Eastern slogan is "our Customer Service is like making love to a Gorilla. We are not finished when we are Satisfied, only when the Gorilla is Satisfied.

I would think "Bread" would be a good way to work in grain.

I have the right to remain silent. By posting here I have given up that right and accept that anything I say can and will be used as evidence to critique me.
Indianapolis to the Quad Cities? How about:
"Look kids, cornfields!"
"All the corn that's fit to haul"
"The breadbasket's quickest route"
"Look kids, soybeans!"
"The East-West Gateway to Service"
(used to live out that way....)

Otherwise, you could borrow the sloagn of the old Monon Railroad .... "The Hoosier Line" .... Monon is a fallen flag railroad which merged into the L&N in 1971.

Greetings,
Sounds kind of like you're merging the old Peoria and Eastern (NYC) with the Iowa Interstate / old Rock island.

My own prototypes don't help much. If you're a national monopoly you can be the strong, silent type.

Route of the Brickyard Flyer really seems to hit home. The problem is that my railroad, being a modern mid size regional similar to the IAIS, has no passenger service. I think I'll just do "The Brickyard Route." Thanks for all the suggestions.
