i agree with BigBoy2004 that it' going on in an informal basis. Though topics sometimes get's heated it seems any question you ask get's answered in the long run. I have learned so much in the couple of months I've been a memmber. After the first month I had already expanded my empire and really got into the hobby.

I love this forum because I can get hundreds of peoples opinions on a topic where otherwise it would take a lot of research to find. Plus you have multiple other forums that you can search through. So for the Newbies out there (which I am at model railroading though I've been playing with trains since I was a kid,you can see the difference this forum has made in my mrr) feel free to ask any question you want, search all the topics and have fun.

Not to single anyone one out but coldcrow has come onto the board and you can tell he's hooked one the hobby and isn't afraid to ask. He's actually asked some questions that when I read them I thought, Why didn't I think about that.
When I went through my eagle scout interview someone asked me how I would thank the adults who helped me get through the long path to eagle. The answer he was looking for was sharing my knowledge with the new scouts. I Think this would be a great thing for a new modeler to do later in life whwen he wants to progress the hobby by just sharing their knowledge they have learned. So in closing ask away and share your knowledge and thanks all who are willing to reply to all the stupid questions us newbies have.
Andy
