'Stang! Maybe I should explain the problem a little better. The car's water pump is waaayyy down underneath the engine, and as I mentioned is run off of the timing chain, and the car is front wheel drive. The pump would be a sun of a gun to get out without breaking somthing else.

Only, everyone bashes Fords, but how many Ford-bashers have actually had one, and how many people who are Ford-Bashers own a Ford they never take care of? We've had a '93 Mercury Sable for 11 years, all we had to do to it is replace the tires and battery once, and replace the gaskets on the engine block. No Ford my dad has owned-and that goes back to '69Torinos, 1980s T-Birds, an early '90s Rangers-have we ever had a problem with. My only point was people think GM's are faultless, when they've had just as many (if not more) mechanical problems than FORD.
