I received my Atlas Rock Island GP7 in the bankruptcy blue scheme. the blue seems to be too dark like the Proto 2000 GP38-2. If you look at the Rock Island web site you can see pictures of the locomotive and they are a powder blue. Why do manufactures paint locomotives in the wrong colors?

Sometimes, the colors will fade pretty quickly on the prototype, and some prototypes don't keep things too clean. And then there is lighting and film to consider from the pictures, which can change how light/dark something appears. So prototype photos might seem very different.
And then, sometimes the color is just off...
