<p>Gary - that layout is just over 1 ft. by 1 1/2 ft., so it is really tiny.</p> <p>The size of a layout does not correlate with the fun you can have building and operating it. Actually, I find it much easier to build small layouts, focusing on a specific scene. It´s just like a slice of the real thing.</p> <p>Looking at your regular 4 by 8 layout, I find it difficult to out up a plausible scenery. Most of the ones I have seen have scenes cluttered all over the layout, but not necessarily in a context.</p> <p>Small layouts also nicely fit your budget...</p>
