Good Morning, I came home late from Berlin last night. It wasn´t before 1am before I finally could call it a day. I am still wound up with what I had the chance to attend yesterday. It was the first party convention in my life and it was a great experience. It may not have been as exuberant as these conventions are in the US, but it had a great spirit, which also indulged some of the attending press people. We had guests from the US Embassy, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Embassy of the United Kingdom, the EU High Commission and press folks from all over the world. I got caught in several press interviews and found myself talking that same politnik talk that I hate so much - EGAD! Overall, it was a highly satisfying event, which will certainly increase our chances for the upcoming General Election in September! Now I´ll be all tied up in the final prep work for the state convention on May 1st, where I will have to do the honors. On the family side, things turn to the worse with my Mom. According to what the folks at the nursing home told me, she must have been very irate not being able to reach neither my brother, nor me. She called the police and accused me of stealing her car. Luckily, the police called the folks at the nursing home, who were able to straighten things out properly. I am still glad I have a piece of paper signed by my father, who is the legal owner of the car, that I am entitled to keep the car or sell it in his name. I am most unhappy how things develop and I sure wish there´d be something I could do to make the last few days or weeks of my parents´ life a more happy one. But, alas, thee isn´t a way.
