Lunchtime!

We just enjoyed a nice lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant - for the price of two burgers & fries. This was my birthday present to Petra, as both of us were ill at her birthday last month.

Todd & all others - the place my parents stay in is run by the German Red Cross. There are many different facilities in that building, which is much larger than shown on the picture. Aside from a nursing home and assisted living, there is a kindergarten, a day care center and a vocational school for handicapped persons. Their concept of taking care of our elders differs a lot from the usual places - they believe in integration instead of segregation. They offer a lot of activities to keep the old folks busy and happy. Works nicely.

I took my parents´ TV set to them, so they now can enjoy some entertainment. My parents´ car has another flat tire, so I was glad to get my friend Lothar´s car for that trip. I hate it, but I will have to order two new winter tires for a car I don´t want to have... [B)]

Have to talk my Dad into selling this one and get a decent one... There is a Volkswagen Polo I have set my eyes on. The Polo is not (yet) sold in the US. It is only slightly smaller than the Golf, but a lot cheaper - suits me fine!

Have a good one!
