This sounds like welcome news, most importantly for the survival of RMC, but also because I recently completed a three-year renewal of my subscription.

Lets hope they keep RMC relatively untouched (yes, I realize a few things will have to change).I liked Scratchbuilders Corner, Collector's Consist*, heck even the Perspective pages were often quite interesting. Expand the test track section if you want to shill products, if you must.
*I was figuring we'd start seeing more stuff from the 1960s and 1970s in collector's consist - Globe, Athearn, Lifelike, Tyco, AHM, Revell, and so on are all very fertile fields for discussion - Critique those those full-color train listings from the back of the Montgomery Wards Christmas catalog from the mid-late 1970s that I loved so much as a kid...
This is good news.
AWESOME!!!!
I'll somehow scrape together the cash to subscribe again in order to help them get off to a good start. My RMC subs lapsed because things have been tight, budget-wise here, too.

Good News. Maybe I will get a few new issues on my subscription. I liked RMC for the prototype plans and photos needed to guide my kitbashing and scratchbuilding efforts. Advertisements are a good thing. Where else would I find a source for the rather obscure stuff used in model railroading? Test track articles are interesting, especially after the death of so many LHS. I have to drive two and three hours to get to a hobby shop these days. The layout tour articles are OK, but I'm more interested in ideas that I can use on my layout than I am in seeing how groovy someone else's layout is.
I wish them well.

GREAT NEWS...even if my June issue won't buy me a new car!
I'd like to get on the bandwagon and subscribe. I've been very happy with MR plus the forum plus Video Plus but have fond memories of buying RMC in the 60's and would like to help keep it going. I'll pony up for 1-2 year subscription but can someone clarify...should I just google RMC and subscribe at the old RMC Carsten site?
Suggest we get some momentum going and see how many commit to subscribing or renewing. Not to take away at all from MR...I very much appreciate the mag plus the site (forum included) and the video plus, etc. I just think it's good if several mags survive. Haven't bought a RMc since my 80's venture, maybe the 60's.

I think I'd either contact the new people at the new address, or actually wait until I saw the next issue come out.
I am glad about the news and good luck going forward. I have always liked RMC and a long time subscriber. Doug
Good news.
I have a subscription to MRN and was pleased with the handling of the transfer when White River purchased that publication.
Find all three publications (MR, RMC and MRN) to be very helpful. Each has its own nitch. There is some overlap, but usually in kind, not actual duplication.
Good luck to them,
Richard
This is good news and I look forward to seeing the next issue. However I do wonder about distribution as I buy my RMC from a local magazine store rather than subscribe like I do with MR.

Good point, I would not be buying RMC and MR if there was too much overlap, what would the point be? I too wish them the best in the venture.
The Railroad Model Craftsman web site has the address for their new publisher. I was hesitant about sending my renewal check to Carstens, but I will mail it to he new Publisher, and of course I wish the best for all these publishers including Carstens. They produced a great magazine for many years, to bad they had some many detrimental problems so close togeather.
