Like the title says, I've added 5 in progress photos. The hatch covers consist of 39 parts each. You can see the gussets on the hopper bottom flange if you look closely. I changed the spring pack in the ECW 125T trucks to IM 100T springs to improve their looks. I have a long way to go, but it's fun.
Thanks, Bobby
Excellent work. But if I may suggest, how about just updating the original post so that it is easier to find all the related information in one place?
Do you run your models are they for show only?

Ive added a scratched brake stand and gear box, along with the platform. I made my own channel, because there's not any fine out there. The platform is double thick Plano I make by soldering two pieces together with silver bearing solder. I have the Plano upgrade kit, and boy is it nice! I tried to have the link go to the full sized photo but it won't work here.

tankcarsruleRussell, I don't run them for fear of some careless person causing a wreck. Regards, Bobby
That aside, how fragile are these models?
I received my Plano # 10930 upgrade kit. I used the roofwalk & corner grabs from the kit. All of the parts are great, but in some cases I'd already built my own. I built part of the air lines for the PD system, did the end steps and braces, cut lever bracket, body grabs and card holders. I'll build the ladders. Thanks for looking, Bobby
Tankcarsrule, one thing that i can say is everything you build Rules.

The plumbing for the air and discharge is almost done, less the manifolds off the hopper. The scratched ladders have been installed.

The car is ready for paint. I finished the bottom detail which included air and discharge system. The manifold pipes were difficult to make, but they're finished. Now I have to decide on lettering. There's lots to choose from. The bottom photo shows the detail of the systems. The link should take you to the large photo.

It's painted but not weathered. The link will take you directly to the largest photo.
That AHM Flexi-Flo looks better than anything you can buy RTR and in a Kit.
