Does anyone know who manufactured the Presidents Choice train sets?
Thanks. Kay.Div.
If my memory is correct it was IHC.
The actual manufacturer was Mehano in Slovenia.
I purchased a couple of those sets and that was the name of the manufactuer.

BTW:
Mehano is the Slovenian company that produced the locomotive models that were sold under the IHC brand.

Not trying to steal the topic, but I was given a Mahano loco that is the main attraction on my Christmas train, as it runs for hours, steady and quiet. I've never taken it apart, so I know nothing about it, but it runs perfect, and nicely detailed with grabs and cut levers.

In case anyone is wondering, the "President's Choice" train sets were offered in several Canadian supermarkets for 10-12 years. They have a lot of merchandise under this name, refers to the President of the grocery chain. Sets were offered for $100.00, usually contained an engine, several cars, a loop of track and a small power pack. They were a decent value at the time, as identical IHC locos were in the $150.00 or more range.
