In my previous layouts, I was unhappy with the ground cover, having a much too uniform look for my taste. When I built a narrow gauge layout some years back, I tried a different technique, using Heki Flor mat ripped into pieces and applying long fibers of yellow static grass to simulate an area covered with grass and weeds.
