Almost a day and ShowMe has fallen off Page 1 of the forum so a bump is needed. The closest I can come to something ficticious is a Turtle Creek Central boxcar. Not much if a history, just a name selected by MR for a layout project a few years ago.

Tall trees aren't common in Moose Bay, but there are a couple of them in the swamp.

Well...  Several hours here without an answer, so...  How about milk sold in Glass Bottles by a local dairy?

Howard's Dairy was owned by my Father's Uncle Eli and was the first dairy in Central NYS to use electric pasteurization.  He managed to corner the local market (as it didn't taste burned) and became quite rich for back in those days.  The logo on the Reefer was taken from the logo on a couple of Glass Milk Bottles I still have from that business.

Show me another local business that would be a "period" type of business on your layout.

That's a great story and modeling, Ray.  I guess this would count for period business, Trailer on Flat Car. DJ.

Show me another freight in farm country.

This old time MOW train is assigned to trestle duty. Inspection, repairs, and filling water barrels (thus the water cars and barrels on board).  The crew stops in Vulcan Alberta for lunch. There's a great little cafe near the grain elevator.

Show me another old time MOW train. B&W or colour.
