Number series for hydrocyanic tankers
Posted by Junctionfan on Thursday, October 14, 2004 3:33 PM
I would like to model a chemical plant that requires those acfx white tankers with the red stripes but I don't know which numbers they are. Could someone tell me them so I can model them prototypically please?

Thankyou
Andrew

According to the book I have called American Car and Foundry 1899-1999 by Edward S. Kasminski, the Hydrocyanic Acid tank cars are lettered ACFX and run in the series77256-77280.These are leased to W.R.Grace Co. These cars had the red lines on the curved sides with a long straight line that went from one end to the other of the tank car. They also had operating and safety instructions on a square sign on each side of the car.
