I was just wondering if you have received your Great Model Railroads for this year. Mine hasn't arrived and I was getting alittle impatient. Thanks - Nevin

I see in the ads for it that has a newstand date of Nov 2 so it should be along soon I hope I'm impatient to.

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

Not yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting it. I would give it another week or 10 days.

I got my advance copy earlier this week. I know I might not be the most impartial judge, but this is Erik speaking as a model railroader, not Erik the Content Manager for Trains.com/ModelRailroader.com.... it's awesome!

The second you pick it up you'll see the difference. The format is bigger and there are more pages. Once you crack it open, you'll see the difference the larger format makes. The larger photos are fantastic.

It shouldn't be too long for you now. I know... it's like being a little kid the night before Christmas, but believe me, it's well worth the wait.

[:D]I'm gonna get 3 and I can't wait. One for the "reading room" one so save for posterity, and finally, 1 "brag copy" to pass around since the FCSME modular layout (of which I am a member) is featured in GMR!!!
[:I]Since she wrote the article, the Wife wants a copy of her own!!

The story about the FCSME is on page 76. I'd hate to see you both fumbling around trying to find it. [:)]

By the way, it looks great. Keep up the good work.

This will be an issue to remember. The larger format raises the bar on future issues.

Modular railroading at its best!
If it has an X in it, it sucks! And yes, I just had my modeler's license renewed last week!
