Colors of EMD SD9 Demonstrator?

A friend wants to paint an HO SD9 in the EMD demonstrator colors. It appears to be an overall maroon, with a lighter panel running down the middle of the side. But what colors to use?

The demo in your photo is the SD7 demonstrator, not SD9.

But anyways, for the maroon color I would probably use Pacemaker Red and for the orange stripe, either SP Daylight Orange or Reefer Orange.

Thanks that's a start. I called it an SD9 because that's what my friend said it was. Way too many diesels around to recognise all the many variants!

P2K released both demo SD7's 990 & 991 in 1995 - IIRC, they were red/maroon......note sure what the color of the pin-stripes was though........
