Block detection question...

First off, hello all. I'm new to this forum but have been modeling for about 4 years.
I have a small to medium layout and have ideas about adding block detection. I currently use digitrax so I have been looking at buying the bdl168. Have any of you used this? If so, how do you like it? Problems?

sorry i never used that particular one ..i scratch build them..they take about three hours to build once the parts come in ..here is the webpage for the schematic...look under electronic projects http://www.gatewaynmra.org/ ....Chuck[:D]
