Good Morning Gang!

Incredible - we haven´t seen a cloud for a week now! Nice to wake up with the birds singing in the sunshine.

Thanks, Folks, for all the good advice. Unfortunately, the German job market plays by a different set of rules. Toning down a CV would not help, as each job application has to be accompanied by a full set of employer´s testimonials. If I´d tone down my level of qualification, there´d be a mismatch between my CV and those testimonials. "Adjusting" the testimonials is a criminal offense as they have the character of official documents, so that´s a no go. Our application procedure would be perfectly illegal in most of the countries in the world, but here it is as it is, limiting my chances ever to find a job. Who ´d hire an ex-CFO and CEO who is now 3 years on the dole? I wouldn´t...

Maybe I should go into politics - Folks, I am just kidding [swg]

About an hour´s drive south of my place, there is a steam festival this weekend. Too bad I can´t go there.

Have a good weekend!
