A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS WHO PROTECT OUR GREAT COUNTRY!!!
Today is Veterans Day, USA and Rememberance Day, for our friends in Canada and Australia!
Let us in the USA be thankful to our vets and honor them for their service in keeping us safe and free,To those who served in the past, or who serve now, or will serve in the future:
Hey, Thanks, Veteran!
Let the Canadians and Australians take today to honor those veterans who have passed while in their duties.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
Best way to thank a Vet is to contact your congressman when they start talking about cutting the VA budget.
You see a lot of veterans depends on the VA for their health and mental care..

Evening All, Well here in New Zealand today is actually known as Armistice Day, because WWI ended at 1100 hours on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, (even you guys with your backwards way of writing dates can't get this one wrong !!!! 11/11/1918. ).
Commemorating Armistice Day is rather low key for us and the Australians as ANZAC Day, 25 April is our day of remembrance for those who have served and paid the price in various conflicts around the world.
Still we do owe those in the US forces , in particular who fought in the Battle of the Coral Sea, 4-8 May 1942, a great deal of Thanks.
"Although a tactical victory for the Japanese in terms of ships sunk, the Battle of the Coral Sea would prove to be a strategic victory for the Allies for several reasons. Japanese expansion, seemingly unstoppable until then, was turned back for the first time."

They shall grow not old , as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

I feel it is both fitting and proper that it should placed in this thread as a mark of respect to all fallen service men and women.
From all our great nations.
IF you see some one showing disrespect to a veteran let them know that veteran won the right for them to show that disrespect the hard way and then teach them the error of there ways.
To all you veterans my thanks and heart felt respect.

To all those who risked (and often gave) everything so that we could argue about expensive doohickeys in peace, thank you!
Jeff, I raise a glass to you!

Today, 11th, November is also correctly called, in the UK, as Armistice Day. Yesterday, being the nearest Sunday to the 11th., was Remembrance Sunday. Te titles have got blurred, in recent times, but even so they do not detract from the true meaning of the days.
I would prefer the use of "thoughtful" rather than "happy" to describe our feelings regarding the sacrifices made by all walks of life, not just military, in the wars of the 20th. century and still, sadly, ongoing in this the 21st, century.
Few can not have known, or known of, someone who gave their life or suffered great hardships in conflicts.

Take a moment or two today to pause and reflect on your freedom and liberty and what that truly means...and what it cost. Think of all those who rose to the occasion to defend that...and still defend that. But especially think of all those who gave all of their tomorrow's for our today's.
Lest we forget...
