<p>Good Morning!</p> <p>It is icy cold up here. Nighttime "high" was 5 F in our neck of woods and it is supposed to get even lower than that in the coming days. Bad times for the homeless! </p> <p>Just a couple of pictures to get a feeling for Japanese Railroading:</p> <p><img src="http://www.japan-i.jp/traffic/railway/4oa00l000000020g-img/4oa00l000000020z.jpg" style="max-width: 550px;" border="0" /></p> <p><img src="http://www.renaissancetours.com.au/upload/images/Rail/Japan/Shinkansen_and_Mt_Fuji_web_h.jpg" style="max-width: 550px;" border="0" /></p> <p><img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/86/SL_20081207.jpg" style="max-width: 550px;" border="0" /></p> <p>Only the bullet trains run on standard gauge, the remaining network is narrow gauge (3 1/2 ft.). I find Japanese trains quite impressive!</p> <p>Flo, coffee and a bowl of cereals, please.</p> <p>Have a good day!</p>
