Great work, guys. Thanks for making this a fun thread. Been working on scenery for the branch line.

Nothing new from me.

Happy Friday all! It looks like everyone has another great group of photos. Bear, nice tiger striped Santa Fe switcher! You couldn't miss that thing coming at ya! Robby, another incredible weathering job! Terry, that's pretty cool! I wouldn't dare have something like it on our layout, my kids would have coal spilled everywhere! That whistle sounds like the B&O 3 chime Soundtraxx has. Rick, I love the NKP GP30's! That's one diesel I never got to run that I wish I had. I ran a lot of GP 38's and GP 40's though! Wilton, nice scene! The climax looks great! Michael, those Santa Fe locos look darn realistic!
We had a fairly busy week both on and off the layout. I finally finished my newest painting of PRR K4 3871 on the curve:
And I started to ballast the double track on the new scene:
Next project is the yard leading to the bridge on the left, then I have to replace a large mountain scene on the other side of the layout! The fun never ends!

Got a few things painted in the past week or so...

You are correct it is a B&O 3 chime on a tsunami med steam decoder
Great painting and awesome modeling on your part !
For the first 1/3 of a second I saw this photo,
rdgk1se3019
I thought it was an Army camp with rows of tents. Then I recognized that come of the "tents" in the foreground had cab windows.
I guess that is like the experiences I have had seeing strange unidentified flying objects. Then a fraction of a second later, I identify them and they are not UFOs anymore.
A good beginning to WPF guys! Some great modeling and photography here again this week.
Here is the BRVRR's contribution for the week:
BRV F-7 #1116 at the head of a short freight, passes inside of Berea Tower as it passes the yard entrance and proceeds through the reversing loop.
Keep the photos and ideas coming everyone! You always make WPF the best thread of the week.
Remember its your railroad

Dennis,That will be an impressive fleet!Like the attention to detail in the builds.Nice Job!
Hi,Excellent work everyone, I'm really Digg'n the places your pix take me, Awesome - Thanks!!!!
Well I saw an auction on the eBay... (search for: HO Overland Tender Snowplow)...
And it helped me add a couple parts to 'my version'!Yeah, they are completely different, but in the same family, & it also led me to want to include some things I was fixin' to leave off. So it really did help me out..Although I like the Cabbed version, & the different style blade, I just can't bid on that one now, ...so good luck..My less than $100 unit, will contunue to be built & join my collection just fine..
Bear: I like the ATSF FM unit. ....Michael: Your modern SD75's are quite a contrast to Bear's old road switcher. .... Robby: Great weathering. ... Rick: I like the GP30's ... Stan Great painting and a great layout. I like the wide curves. ... Terry: An impressive video of coal hauling on your railroad.... Wilton: Love the wood bridge! ...Chad: Nice snow plow. Glad it is summer though. .... Peter: I like the bicycle scene. .. Allan: Nice photo with good perspective of the F7. .... Dennis: Plenty of green paint there. Looks good so far.
Here's an SD9 with a local freght train rolling past Standing Falls.

Thanks for the kind words Garry. No. 1116 is the only "home road" locomotive on the layout.

Great pic, steamage! Please keep experimenting.
Stilson,
I'm really digging the electric overhead, etc!
Everyone else is doing great work, too, I can see. I'm late to the party this weekend, because I've been working. To help make sure there's an unlimited reservoir of WPF pics, I worked on the benchwork for my Cascade Branch extension. It's a fictional logging and mining branch line that connects with my Durango to Silverton line at Tefft.
Here are some pics of the work.
I took out part of the wall over the standard gauge staging to add in a ~15' long extension, in addition to circling around before getting there. That's my NMRA Gold Spike Award app. I need to fill that out and send it in
The first train enters from the main part of the layout.

I didn't get as much done this weekend as I hoped. It was supposed to be rainy (again, still), so I anticipated getting a little layout work done, maybe some scenery, and finish decorating the current crop of "in progress" members formerly of the great undecorated fleet.
Alas, it was too rainy to paint (I airbrush outside, and even though it is covered, heavy rain blows in and I am sitting there with a spray booth and compressor plugged in). I did manage to decal 3 E8As, 2 E8Bs, and a pair of RS1 bodies. The E8As are shown below, waiting road numbers, a bit of touch up on one, some weathering, and a final clear coat. The E8bs are in similar shape.
The RS1s need their cabs touched up and the walkways painted.
The next step is RS11s and RS2s that need their final color applied, a couple of NW2s that need the Bunter Ridge off-white and black applied, as well as an RSD4/5, plus some cabooses needing BR off-white and caboose red.
The wife will be out tomorrow night and it is supposed to be dry until Wednesday.
Other projects include plywood work for a town, a final coat of hyrdrocal on what is now "Mt. Blanc" so it can evolve into something beyond a white mass, and maybe a structure kit or two (finishing one well in progress). As long as the weather stays either too hot or too rainy to do outside work, I can do this stuff!
