We just learned that Athearn will be releasing an Electro-Motive Division SD60 in HO scale. The model will be produced from new tooling (not an upgraded Rail Power Products shell). We'll have a full report tomorrow morning on MR Express.

WHY? Railpower had the shell, Athearn made the drive and then bought Railpower.
(Just what we need - another Coal hauler with low couplers).

Come to think, why upgrade the shell! Your talking to a modeler, who has sold the Dana/Railpower carbody to an NS conductor, and modeled the NS#6668, as the Andover coal train to Duke Power, viewed on Ole' E Z Bob's
Saluda, America's Steepest Class One Grade!
Passing under Intersate 26, in the town of Saluda, North Carolina, on the top of the five percent grade. (Copywrite, American Altavista). Thanks, Bob Lohene! Allen/backyard

Looks like it will be R-T-R, I can't wait, since Athearn has a separate undecorated version for CR this might have FRA "Bug Eye" Class Lights!
