Hi all

Think I might be getting somewhere on the job hunt, our local museum is looking for attendants. 12 month contract, money's not bad, and it should be "a foot in the door" as it were that might lead to bigger things. Just awaiting a response from one of my lecturers who I've emailed to ask if he would be willing to provide a reference.

Tom, It's very odd indeed - Germany and the UK are stuffed with model shops while France has a handful. I've visited one over in Metz (L'Auto-Rail) before now, picked up an LS Models GC coach there. They have a website that might be of interest - try googling "L'Auto-Rail".

Ryan, Spain is a bit unusual from a rail viewpoint as they have a broader gauge than the rest of Europe on most of their network. I think they're trying to build all new lines to standard gauge though. I do know there are Talgo sets on which the wheels can be swapped to handle both gauges. As far as France is concerned it's mainly a case of watching out for the lunatic drivers - they even try to argue with a 3.5ton RV!

Bye for now
