Hi all

I've been doing some mock-ups for a possible future project involving a couple of Hornby LNER Teak coaches (the older ones rather than the latest superdetailed examples). This was inspired by the pre-war Hornby-Dublo articulated sets.

Assembling the image was interesting - I used a flatbed scanner to get the coach images then melded them together using Corel Photopaint. Given it worked rather well I'm seriously considering building one - the coaches can be had for £10 each split from start sets at the moment...

RT, now you have the fun part of dismantling the old PC for spares - I've taken to treating the PCs like MRR equipment, nothing gets thrown away and old parts are put aside for reuse. I'm doing my bit to reduce waste electrical kit by reusing it rather than landfilling or recycling, at least, that's my excuse!

Rob, I'd forgotten about the interurbans - I'm only aware of one such line over here, I think it was near Grimsby and one of the mainline rail companies ended up operating it. Regarding the LHS, all but one of mine are an hour away, the nearer one only sells G scale.

Bye for now
