Just to see if I could do it, this is HO-Velo's picture from above...
1) Go to the Flickr page and click "Share"
2) Go to "Grab the HTML Code, select the HTML Button and copy.
3) Paste that to an empty text document.
4) after the text <img scr= copy the line http://.... through .jpg without the quotes to your clipboard
5) come back to the forum and click on "insert Image" and paste there.

I continue to play around with the idea of an On3 switching layout beneath the HO layout... 'picked up a K-36 to keep the K-27 company:
I just finished putting a QSI Titan decoder in the K-36,will try to get a video tomorrow.Here's a short video of the K-27(Tsunami decoder).

Finally finished building a New Haven U25B that I have been adding detailing to, painting and lettering.

Added various detail parts from Detail Associates, Utah Pacific, and Details West. Painted with Floquil Socony Red and Scalecoat II Black Paint, and lettered with Microscale Decals.

LION is building a staircase for his subway layout.
Him starts with corrugated cardboard cut into strips of identical length, laminated them with an offset and then cut them into two staircases.
Him cut and glued sides to the stairs.
Him printed tile walls and station signs on his laser printer using card stock. These in turn were glued to the outside of the stair case, and the treads and runners were painted.
LION uses this plastic crafts stuff that people might otherwise use for needlepoint or something. When I asked the clerk at Walmart what it was called she said it was plastic craft stuff. I used a scalpel trim away the parts that did not look like a staircase railing found on a subway platform, some poetic license was invoked, and then painted the material green.
The almost finished product is tried out on the layout to see how it will look.
Of course, the trains were running the whole time I was working. Isn't it nice to have an automated layout!

As always this thread has some amazing modeling being shown....
I have started putting a corner scene that will have a road going from the city of Kanandaqua back into the hills. The road will have an at grade crossing over one track and then under a RR overpass and then into the end of the yard area. Here is a series of what has been accomplished so far:
Plaster central. Plaster cloth over foam with a couple of coats of diluted joint compound and some plaster rock castings.
Similar photo with the rock castings painted. Yes I know they are dark, but they will lighten a bit as they dry. Photo was right after I painted them.
Again similar shot after the earth has been painted onto the plaster. Again the color will change as it dries. Amazing how well the camera points out the little spots the paint brush missed...

I purchased the alum. sheet material, the siding is corrugated and the roof is raised seam.
Hope this addition isn't too late for everyone... Just wanted to update my earlier post and show what I got done yesterday and today.
