Someone who has pics or remembers portable HOn3 logging layout at IN/IL Shows

I am looking for someone who either has pictures or rememebers a small portable HOn3 logging layout that was at several Indiana/IL shows I attended during the 90's. I cannot remember the gentlemans name or what the railroad was called. It had a lower continious loop around the edge of the layout, then had short upgrades to the upper level that had the logging camp and other features. He even purchased a Westside DRGW C-16 off of me at one show and had it running on the layout later that day. I am wanting to use that layout as a model for the layout I am wanting to construct and some pics would be of great help. Thanks Mike

You may be talking about Bob White's layout. I remember his name, because it's the same as one of my cousin's.

I've seen his layout several times here in Urbana at the spring train show at Lincoln Square, but not the last few years. He also took it to the 1998 Colorado Springs National Narrow Gauge Convention. I know that he has lived in Bloomington, Illinois and in Ohio (Columbus, I think).

And he's a real good fellow rail, willing to share what he knows.

Sorry, I don't have any pics I can share so you can positively identify that it was his RR you are talking about, but your description certainly fits his layout.

That name does ring a bell, I used to do the Blomington show with a buddy that ran a hobby shop out of his garage back then. Maybe somebody else has pictures of the layout. Thanks Mike
