I'm not too sure of the exact dates, but I know that brown was first, then red,(sometime around 1900? it was started[maybe a bit later]), then the traditional orange and green, and in GN's final years, (about 1967?) sky blue was used. Actually during that time, sky blue and orange and green were used simultaneously, sort of like after the BNSF's many color changes.
