Blue Comet decals? Where? Who?

Okay, I'm in the middle of converting a Rivarossi Pacific into a G3 and need decals for the locomotive and tender. Does any one know who make any? I just sent away for a Clover House catalog, does anyone know if they have them? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Brian Kotula

Clover House had them some years ago as dry transfers in both HO and O but I'm not sure if they still do - demand was very low. Walthers once offered them too but that was many years ago.

It's going to take a bit of work to convert a 'rossi Pacific into an accurate rendition of a CNJ G-3 Pacific but good luck to you! You might also find it helpful to vist the CNJ Modeler group over on Yahoo for encouragement and advice. A gentleman there is currently in the midst of converting a BLI USRA Mikado to a big CNJ class M-2 Mike.

Thanks for the info, I found two CNJ Yahoo groups and joined both and posted on both. Yeah it no small undertaking making an G3 lots spent on brass parts and lots of cutting and very hard to find reference material. I picked up "The Seashore's Finest Train" an excellent book and "The trail of the Blue Comet" its okay. I got the passenger car decals from Walthers and found accurate cars at BCW. Just need the Loc decals.

Brian,
My copy of the Clover House catalogue lists them on page 24 as items 7196-01, 7196-02 and 7196-03, but both the locomotive and the passenger car dry transfers have a check mark in front of them, indicating that they are to be discontinued. You might want to contact them directly at their Web site:
http://www.cloverhouse.com/
Go to the "Contact Us" link and send them an Email asking them to reserve the sets you need.
