Flying Yankee in HO?
Posted by ort007 on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 12:47 PM
Does anyone know if there are any plans in the works for the early streamlined diesels like the M-10000 or B&M's Flying Yankee in HO? I have a 1930's uncataloged Lionel O-gauge Flying Yankee set and I thought it would be neat to see one in HO.

Just curious,

Con-Cor is about to release the Pioneer Zephyr in HO and N scales, in plastic. IIRC, the Flying Yankee was basically the same as the early CB&Q Zephyrs.

There are some very expensive versions that show up on E-bay. They are brass and fetch about $ 1,000.00

If they get enough pre-sale orders, figure by Christmas around $340.00 subject to change.
Still don't know if it will made the big manufacturers show in Rosemont 10/14
