Any interest in undec Kato C 44-9W's?

In a recent local model contest I won an undecorated Kato C44-9W diesel. Nice unit, but I would have preferred a decorated one. I was wondering if modelers are buying these high end units undecorated? If so, why?
I could probably paint it in CN or other colors, but any home paint job would not be as good as the factory painted units.
This model was donated by an area hobby shop; I assume he did so because there was not much demand for the undec version.
I checked on eBay a while ago but did not see any undecs, so I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in mine if I offered it for auction.

Bob,I usually buy undec locos and cars for my C&HV as does many freelance modelers.
Sorry, the C&HV does not own(nor does any CDB Industries family of short lines) any C44-9W ..Good luck!

You might be surprised. Just because something is not listed in bulk does not indicate its undesirability on ebay. I suspect you would get something close to the actual list for such an item, maybe more as it is rare on the auction block. I have been amazed what I have gotten for some items which were "unique" to ebay listings.
