junk train lot

i just picked up a free box of junk trains from someone that didnt want them any more, and while going through them i found a Bachmann 2-8-2 mikado. i never knew bachmann made a mikado and was a little suprised to find this. after looking though the rest of the stuff i came back to the mikado and took a better look at it. i knoticed that it is very short and puggy looking especialy compaired to my Rivarossi USRA mikado. it almost looks like someone put one of these in a vice and made it a little shorter. i was courioius to know if any one has heard of this engien and if there is a prototype for it of did bachmann just put some 2-8-2 plans in a vice?

also a while bac k someone had posed a really good website that had all kinda stuff about AHM, Cox, Tyco and bachmann. it was at geocitys but i cant seem to find the URL. anyone got that too? =D
thanks, matt

I believe that's a model of a Chinese made Mikado, which is the only Mike I know of that Bachmann ever made. The Boone and Scenic Railroad, a tourist line in Iowa, has one that they purchased new to pull their excursion trains. The Chinese engines are shorter than U.S. versions.

ok, so i was searching around online and found our that my mikado looks exacly like a bachman consolidatoin 2-8-0. only it has an extra dinky back wheel set added. i'd geuss from the age of the other stuff in the box that its all from the early to mid 80s or a little later possably. im still looking for any info if people have it =)
