Vic,
How do you hide the magnet wire? Do you find smaller brass tube and run it in that? Or do you glue it to the outside of some brass wire?

Thanks Joseph

Hi Joseph, Don't see any reason why you couldn't fashion the gooseneck out of some brass wire of the appropirate diameter and then wrap the magnet wire around it and then secure it with some thin acc glue. The magnet wire is fully insulated and won't short out. You could then paint it whatever color after the glue dried. I think you said that you wanted to use Campbell shades for these lights. You should be able to find a brass or plastic tubing that will fit in the top of them. K&S makes a bunch of small sizes of brass and aluminium tubing. Most hobby shops carry K&S tubing in their R/C airplane dept. Also check out Evergreen Styrene. They have several sizes of platic tube. I think they call it "rod" but its hollow up the middle. Its been a few years since I made these light fixtures from some hypodermic tubing stock which is no longer available to the public....Hope this helps...Vic
