Zoe, I’d like an A&W root beer float please, I’ll join Duke at his table. While you’re at it, drinks for everybody here – I’m buying this round.

Wow, a lotta posts to respond to, I see...
QUOTE: Originally posted by twhite
Ken: I really like that paint-scheme--especially the one with the black band on top.
Thanx Cat-Tom, it’s my favorite too! … I can appreciate your frustration on the music teaching issue. It seems like the ‘personal’ touch is vanishing in favor of technology.
. . .
QUOTE: Originally posted by Railroading_Brit
Ken, I like that loco paint scheme - reminds me a little of the PB&NE SW7 and gondolas I have (Athearn SE set from a few years back). Looks good!
Thank you Matt! I’m trying to recall what that PB&NE switcher looks like, I only saw the Bethlehem Steel set – could you maybe put up a photo? BTW, congrats to Wales on the 6-Nations rugby championship! [tup] Guess the Irish’ luck ran out after Thursday…
. . .
Flip -
QUOTE: Originally posted by fec153
Ken Larsen- Do I remember correctly that you are into CSX?
Affirmative [tup] ! But I sometimes play the “private road” card to get something I really like – such as those EJE SD38-2’s [:P] BTW, I hope Deb’s recovery is progressing.
. . .
LilRob, glad to hear you found your way to the full-sized images.
. . .
QUOTE: Originally posted by JimRCGMO
Ken, I’m not knowledgeable on your particular diesels - are the cabs air-conditioned for the crew? ‘Cause otherwise they may gripe if the black trim on the cab roof gets things too hot for ‘em. But you could put a (flat) black on the low-nose hood, and that would cut down glare in their eyes. The rest of it looks pretty good![tup] Sure you don’t want to go with pink and black? [swg]
Jim, that’s really not an option for me – Fergie already has that color trademarked, and I don’t want to be blasted for copyright infringement! [;)][(-D][:D] Good point about the A/C – I’ll probably buy some rooftop units from Cannon or DW, since I’m kinda partial to the black roof. BTW, great news about that club situation, glad you finally connected.
. . .
Duke –
QUOTE: Originally posted by bjdukert
Ken-I found what I was looking for,it was the picture that everyone was talking about the building in the background. It’s amazing how many posts you have to go through to find something you missed. Good picture by the way. The second set looks the best with the black offsetting the top of the cab and loco.
Glad to hear you found it. I agree, it can be a real challenge digging thru old postings sometimes. I think I’m going to adopt the ‘black top’ scheme for my ‘38s – of course that will require the addition of some cab rooftop air conditioners, as CapeJim pointed out.
. . .
Trent B, tell us a little about yourself, we need to know about your interests before we know what to say to you.
