A lazy afternoon today!

I finished my today´s work early, so there was plenty of time to "sell" my layout idea to Petra, as she is the artist in the family. I also tweaked the scenery a little bit and found an "easy" solution to the station issue. I degraded it to a halt to let of the workers from the factory, which is at the same scenic level as the passing siding. A footpath leads to the factory. The town is up much higher and remains an own LDE, not connected visually to the lower level.

Construction of this layout will be a little tricky, as both the town section and the let section need to be designed as lift-outs in order to be able to retrieve a derailed train from either helix. The whole layout will be put on a little cabinet on casters, allowing me to store all my train stuff in it and roll the set-up out of the way when the space is needed. I got that idea from the Kalmbach book N scale Model Railroading - Getting Started.

Janie - it´s supper time, a bowl of chili and a [B], please.

John - I watched a nice report on Nova Scotia on TV today. I think I have seen it before, but it was still a joy to watch. How far is it to Lunenburg from your place?

CUL Folks!
