Good Afternoon Folks,

a somewhat dull day today. Although being dead tired, I could not sleep well last night, so I am a slow one today.

Flo, a mug of strong coffee, please.

Flip & Debbie - healing [angel] are sent to you from this side of the Big Pond.

Ken - hope you´re getting better soon. I hate to see you lose your job due to illness. [angel] for you!

I spent the morning playing with some ideas for my "Little Japan" layout. The challenge was to come up with something that looks good (yup - you know I am more for looks than operation [(-D]), is fun to build at virtually no budget, does not involve many turnouts and controls, yet rewards me with what I am trying to get out of a layout. The idea I came up with (inspired by a layout I found in the web) is a simple figure 8 contraption, with just one switch, but a helix at each side to gain height and lengthen the run. From an operatins point of view, all you can do is let a train circle the loop, but the scenery is breathtaking. I am not sure whether this will be it, but it is one more step down the road to what I will eventually be building.

I know that I owe some of you guys some track plan ideas. I am working on it, but have not yet found the right entry into the issues. Hope you can wait for a little time - it is not forgotten.

Hope all of you are having a good day!
