The other question I have about these is how did they make a return run? There's only one cab, so unless the end of the line had to have a turntable or wye, did they run backwards? Railcars over here have always been either single units with a cab each end or sets of 2 or more cars with cabs at the outer ends, so I was considering a freelanced driving trailer to go with it as my layout is end to end. Maybe a Walthers 60ft heavyweight with a cab bashed onto one end (like the old Chicago area heavyweight electric units, these had pretty much standard ends but with a driving position, horn, bell, etc)? This would probably only need some interior work, a couple of windows for the new cab, and a few extra details adding - would it look silly though? I'd guess either a combine or coach would be the best to use, though as the doodlebug already has a baggage/parcels section the coach would probably make more sense. All in the planning stages at the moment though as my LHS has yet to obtain stocks of the base vehicle!
