Good Afternoon,

a somehow crazy day - the weather guessers predicted rainfall and temps up to 40 F, the rainfall came, but the temperature stayed at 32 F, turning the roads into an ice skating ring. Lotsa bad accidents. I am just glad that I did not have to go anywhere today.

Chloe, mug of hot chocolate, please, and some of those cookies out of that jar.

Todd - our thoughts will be with you and your family tomorrow!

Ken - that sucks, man! I do hope things will turn to the better soon for you.

Spend the morning doodling around with some thoughts about a layout (now you will say - not again ...). Aside from the financial issue, which may be resolved following tomorrow´s bank meeting, my biggest issue is space. The only place I can put up a layout is above my desk, which imposes a limit to length and width. The reason for this is that we need to put up one of those inflatable beds when Christian is visiting us, which happens 3 - 4 times a year, only for a night or two. Now if I would be able to change scales to the iNvisible one, I could build a layout of about 2´6" by 5´6", put it on coasters and just roll it out into the "hall" when Christian comes to see us. The other option would be to sacrifice my sofa in this room, but i`d like to keep to be able to retire for a midday nap, now and then.

Any which way, I put some ideas on paper, err - computer, based on this month´s MR HO 4 by 8 layout.

If it looks familiar to you - it is a "modernized" G & D RR. Should ´n if I´d go for something like that, I´d relocate it to Japan in the late 1950´s - still steam era, as Japanese N scale is hard to beat in terms of prices (and it´s still narrow gauge [:-^]).

Have a good day!
