Good Morning,

another wet and stormy day - ideal for MRRing, if I had any...

Janie, fried, crunchy bacon, scrmbled eggs, buttered toast, a tall glass of OJ and a ton of coffee, please. I´ll stay here at the RC, watching the yard switcher to do its job.

Ken - I am sorry to hear about Tiff. Nearly 16 years is a long time, but it still hurts a lot to see a companero/companera go. That´s why Petra and I decided not to have a dog any more. We had to put our little beagle lady "Carrot" down, when she was 12. She is still being missed - after 15 years now.

Ray - congratulation on achieving the merit award - I had little doubts that you wouldn´t be making it!

Robby - seems as if you are all set for that show now. I know it will be a great success for our "weather man" here in the Diner!

Jeff - too bad I can´t be around to see the mechanic´s face when he wants to hook your car up to his computer [(-D]. Today´s kids don´t know how to set the timing of the ignition or adjust a carburetor - it is all plug and pray now. OTOH, my old VW Beetle made at best 20 mpg, whereas my Renault - with 3 times the power and nearly double the weight, gets about 34 miles out of a gallon...

In a week´s time, we will be moving the Diner to a new location. I was pondering to suggest the Harz Mountains in Germany, as we could observe a lot of steam action in that region. But November weather is not really nice over here, so I´d recommend a warmer and nicer location. How about the tracks adjacent to

The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum

in Tucson, AZ?

Have a good one, Y´ all!
