Many industries can be "easily" modeled, depending on how much of the industry you model. Here's a couple of suggestions. 1. A corrugated box plant (receives box cars) which is basically a one story "box" where rolls come in one end by rail and boxes go out the other by truck. 2. A grocery warehouse (receives box cars and mechanical reefers) which is two boxes, with the refrigerated one being the taller and having a cooling tower and mechanical equipment on the roof. Ships out in own trucks. 3. A plastics plant (receives covered hoppers), which is yet another box with attached silos for pellets, and 4. a Rail-Highway Transfer Terminal (receives and ships tank cars), which is basically a paved, fenced area where liquids are transferred between tank cars and tank trucks, as tank cars hold about 4 truckloads. These should keep your switch crew busy for a while.
