[;)] [/quote] In the 80's ATSF and SP wanted to buy it along with CSX and NS. ATSF and SP dropped out and decided to merger with each other instead (the infamous SPSF) but NS and CSX kept on until they split CR. The funny thing is NS and CSX were both only a year or two old when they first tried to get Conrail.
