Jeff - your career as a model railroader started only a few months after mine began. It was Christmas of ´63, when it all began. A toy-like 0-6-0 steamer, two tinplate passenger cars and an oval of tinplate Marklin track was the beginning of a craze, which now last for almost 47 years. Many a dream of a model railroad empire followed those humble beginnings, unfortunately, only a few of them ever came true. The biggest gain, however, I ever got out of this hobby is true friendship to some of the finest people!

I know that there will be many more candles on your birthday cake yet to come!
