Good Morning,

It is a bright, but cold day again. Although the sn*w is now gone for good, it seems, as if Spring is stuck somewhere south of us.

Well, Chloe, I´ll have a cafe au lait and just a croissant aux nature to munch on, please. I´ll be in the corner booth to study a drawing I already made this morning.

As you all know, I am stuck in my thinking about the layout "in being". I usually go more for looks, as a have a picture of it in my head. Whenever I start to analyse how I could operate the dang thing, I usually find out, that it won´t have much of an operation to it. Again, this happened to me with my "BR Bishop´s Gate" plans. If´d build it, it would most likely end up as a static diorama, and this is not what I want to have. I want to do a little bit of shunting, I mean switching and, if possible, operate two different kinds of trains - a passenger train and a goods train (when you intend to build a British outline layout you need to adopt BE and not AE). As Google is my friend, I found some ideas in the web. With a lot of tweaking and imagineering, I know have a new idea, which seems to be worth following up on.

I hope not to get killed by you guys, as I have probably presented dozens of layouts here, but so shall it be, here it is the new one which caught my fancy.

OK, the scenic part is a little small, but I don´see any other way to get more operation into those 7 feet something I have available. It is not the G&D, but I have given up to cramp that layout into the space I have! [(-D] I think I am getting closer to what I want! Probably need to mirror it, though...

It will be my anniversary tomorrow - 1 year in the forum and 1600+ sometimes surely odd posts - not bad!

CUL
