Guys, I'm not sure if it is "up-to-snuff", but Athearn used to have these. (they may still, I've been out of the hobby for several years). I have 3 or 4 of them. My understanding is that these cars were built to carry appliances such as referigerators and washing machines. We have a shortline just to the north of me, that used to serve the plant in Greenville MI. I think it was a "Kelvinator" factory. But, don't quote me on that. Anyway, I can recall seeing these little shorty Hi-cubes long ago. Nowadays, they use your standard 86 foot "auto" Hi-cubes. They look to be second hand GTW cars. Still blue, but with MMRR reporting marks. I wonder how many refrigerators they can fit in one of those monsters.... <br /> <br />Todd C.
