Broadway Limited

[:(!][:(!] Is anyone out there having the same problems as I am? I have the Broadway Limited J1e Hudson. It was purchased as a gift shortly after it became available so it is safe to assume it is a first run edition. I had to send it back once for this same problem, but now, it's doing it again: It will sit there, do all the bells, whistles, noises, etc., required of a standing locomotive, then when it's showtime, it travels about 2 feet and stops DEAD. I have checked the wheels for dirt-none. I have checked the track for dirt-NONE. I have checked the track for electrical current-it's fine. I have tried other locomotives in the same "problem areas", they run great. And yes, I checked the hook-up between the locomotive and the tender-from what I can see it is fine and tight. The last time I e-mailed BL about this problem, they didn't even answer. I am not DCC equipped so I run it from my power pack, a Tech4-220---lotsa power.
I certainly hope they have this problem rectified in their later models, otherwise there are going to be alot of disgruntled buyers out there. I want the Santa Fe 3751 with a passion, but how do I know IT will run right?
Any suggestions welcome.

Sounds like the soundboard, or your running onto a dead spot of track.
Return it again where you bought it or to BLI. A $300 gift?
