I can't download the videos
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, July 1, 2004 1:31 PM
As you know, every time there's a new exciting product (locomotives, specifically), a video becomes available... problem is, I can't watch them, because everytime I download one it "resets the connection with the server" (be it QuickTime or WMP). anyone else has this problem?

Are you on a Mac or PC?

Also, what kind of Internet connection are you using?

I'm with flyingscot. I have the exact same problem. I'm on a PC, and I have dial up internet. I've often suspected that the dial up was the problem, but I don't know for sure.

Same problem here. PC, MS XP Pro, 28.8 modem. Got all the latest MS updates. When living in the sticks the pickin's are slim.

If you travel these United States to any extent, you'll understand the term fly-over country. There's miles of it where you head for the horizon because at least it's something. Me, directions to my house include 'turn down the dirt road', I'm 30 miles from town and there is only 1 stop sign. My lawn tractor is 6 foot at the hood. We might get upgraded to DSL in the next century. But with all this "whole lot of nothin' goin' on" it's just perfect for me.

I've got this problem too. Everytime I try to play the videos from MR, it loads about 10% then abruptly stops, stating "corruption in the network" or some crap. And I cant figure out what the problem really is.

Count me in with Aggro, never get much past the 15% mark, then get a disconnect message. Using WMP with Windows ME.
