... walk right in, it´s around the back, half a mile away from the railroad track - yeah, I rember that song from Arlo Guthrie - good old times!

Good Morning Folks,

here is an update on what is going on on this side of the Big Pond. My Doc is still very unhappy with me - the old pump´s performance is lower than 40 %, that´s why I get tired so quickly. Applied for social security payments - fortunately, that is a bit better than in the States. You can live off that, but there is no room for anything extra, even a newspaper is out of question. We will have to leave our house, which has been home to us for nearly 20 years. Our new "domicile" will be a 1 bedroom apartment, little kitchen, little living room and a bath - not more than 600 sq. feet in total. We are coming down from over 2,000 sq. feet...[:(]

My wife is currently attending a training on how to apply for a job - she is out of work for over 20 years now. Next will be a PC training, as she has no IT skills at all. That will be followed by training to acquire the license to drive a forklift truck - can anyone tell me what a lady of 50+ years will do with a license like that? But that´s the routine...[:(]

I still have dreams - like having a little cottage overlooking a lake, somewhere in Nova Scotia, British Columbia or Washington State, not too many people around, only nice neighbours, go hunting, fishing, open fire place - the dream of a rustic and basic life!

Zoe, I take hust a cup of your decaffe, and a roll.
