Layout animation ideas?

<p> Nice list, Chuck - I agree that animation can enhance a layout, if it is adding to the train operation. I have seen many attempts to animate scenes, but found most of the motion to be too abrupt to look real.</p><p>Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is a huge show layout (over 1 million visitors each year) and they are certainly the masters of animation, but even so, some of that stuff just does not look right.
