I can't believe that 2-8-8-2 was omitted while 4-4-4-4 was included! <br /> <br />I still voted for the Mountain (4-8-2) because it's something of an oddball, an inbreeding between the Pacific and the Mikado, which were the standard Passenger and Freight types. The 4-8-4's proved more popular and perhaps more versatile, and thus came in many more flavors, especially when it comes to the sexy streamliners. I'm always partial to the fringe, hence my vote. <br /> <br />Of course, I do agree with clinchvalley on the 0-6-6-0, though I'd clarify it as an Alco RSD...
